The Church is in crisis. For decades, Catholic school enrollment has declined, Mass attendance has fallen, and, most alarming of all, priestly vocations have dropped. Spiritus was founded to meet this crisis with data, in service of the Church and the Catholic organizations that carry out her mission. Our goal is to grow donor bases, recruit volunteers, and expand support for the Church and Catholic causes. Using cutting-edge data techniques and predictive analytics, we build and continually enhance a national list of devout Catholics, Catholic donors, and Catholic volunteers.

Priests and lay parishioners canvassed every home within parish boundaries, knocking on every door, not only known Catholic ones. They registered families, recorded sacraments, noted children outside Catholic schools, and identified the lapsed.

The same canvass, rebuilt with modern data
Spiritus surveys Catholics, trains predictive models on their answers, and scores every household in a market for Catholic affiliation and devoutness. Volunteers then confirm and correct the model, just as the old canvass did at the door.
